Global's patented G400 Series High Temperature Air Cannons are designed with special materials to provide reliable, long-term performance in high temperature environments. The G400 Air Cannons can withstand operation on structures with internal temperatures in excess of 2,000°F (1,100°C) when properly mounted. Tolerates ambient temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).

There is also a G400 Sub-Zero model for temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C), and upon special order, stainless steel Air Cannons for temperatures as low as -53°F (47°C).

The largest Air Cannon generates a blast force of 3,965 force pounds (17.77 kN) in .44 second pulse at 100 psi. The blast often has to cross open space to strike the target it needs to strike. You can rely on getting the blast power you need with Global's G400 Series. The largest Air Cannon’s blast force has a circle of influence over 16 feet (4.9 m) depending on the type of material in the structure. The circle of influence is much greater in bulk material with low densities. For more information please see:

A single Air Cannon can solve a small problem in a chute for instance, whereas, multiple Cannons will solve larger flow problems, such as cement kiln pre-heater towers, clinker cooler areas, and steel mills. Use Air Cannons where vibration is not practical, other methods are too expensive, dangerous or destructive, or nothing else works.

Advantages of G400 and Sub Zero Air Cannons:

  • Designed for High Temperature Environments - Special materials provide reliable, long term performance,in high temperature environments. The G400 Air Blasters use specially coated pistons, triple chrome plated steel seats and valve bodies, and viton o-rings, which can withstand mounting and operation on structures with Internal temperatures in excess of 2,000°F (1,100°C) when properly installed. Tolerates ambient temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).
  • G400 Sub -Zero models can handle temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C).
  • Produces Results Quickly and Efficiently - Quick forceful blast of air permeates the material and dislodges trapped solids.
  • Handles Large Loads - Air blast spreads out in a cone pattern to aerate and loosen a large volume of material at one time. When used in combination, multiple Air Blasters can restore flow to hundreds, thousands, or millions of cubic feet of material.
  • Quiet Operation - Noise of air blast is dampened by the material being aerated.
  • Energy Efficient - Air Blasters are low air consumption devices since they collect air and are fired intermittently. They require only a small fraction of the air used to operate pneumatic vibrators.
  • No Air Leakage - Special coated piston incorporates a seal that prevents air seepage between the piston and valve seat. Air loss can be a problem in blasters using a metal-to-metal seal.
  • Minimal Maintenance - A Single moving part, no springs, no motors, no bearings, make Global's Air Blasters easy to maintain for many years.
  • No Lubrication Required. Special synergistic coating on piston is self -lubricating.
  • Patented “Springless” Valve Closure Technology - Global Air Blasters have no mechanical springs, which is the weak link in many other air blasters-air cannons.
  • More Powerful Air Blast - Lightweight piston, short piston travel, direct blast design, and aerodynamically designed exhaust windows allow the tank to be emptied more quickly creating a stronger, more productive blast.
  • Patented Quick Exhaust Valve Mounted to Blaster - G400 Air Blasters have Global's unique, patented, permanently mounted G-Series Quick Exhaust Valve (QEV). The QEV was designed specifically for use with Global's Air Blasters. It quickly evacuates air from the Air Blaster valve guaranteeing a full and powerful blast even when the solenoid or 3-way valve is up to 100' (30.5 m) from the Air Blaster. The G400 Series quick exhaust valve also insures immediate closure of the Air Blaster valve after the blast. This prevents contamination from entering the valve or tank.
  • Fills Faster - Standard quick fill port allows tank to fill in less than 60 seconds. This makes rapid repeat firing possible when needed.
  • Longevity - Special synergistic coating of the aluminum piston is self-lubricating. Coated valve parts resist acid and basic environments. Carbon steel tank has corrosion and heat resistant paint. Piston movement engineered to prevent excessive wear and high impact.
  • Ease of Service - All parts individually replaceable. If a part becomes worn or damaged, it is not necessary to replace the entire valve assembly.
  • ASME Certified Pressure Vessels - All details of design, materials, construction, and workmanship of each vessel conforms to the ASME Code for Pressure Vessels, Section VIII, Division 1. Documentation available for each AirBlaster upon request.
  • Good for aerating material sitting in bins, hoppers, and silos. Blast will lift and separate the material rather Than compact it.
  • Use when vibration is not practical, for example, concrete bunkers or storage piles on the ground.

Air Cannon Selection

Selection of the size and number of Air Blasters is based on the size of the bin, silo, bunker or hopper, and the density and consistency of the material (categorized into Type I or Type II material) . It is important to consider the area of influence data to insure full air blast coverage in the problem area.
